The Andy Ludlow Homelessness Awards
For more than a decade now, the Andy Ludlow Homelessness Awards have been established as the foremost awards recognising innovative work to tackle homelessness in London. The awards are sponsored by the London Housing Foundation, the 33 London councils and Shelter and run by London Councils. Inside Housing magazine is our media partner.
The 2013 Awards has now closed for entries.
Hearthstone staff were thrilled to win the Andy Ludlow Award in 2012 in recognition of the innovative approach taken to assist survivors of domestic abuse in the borough and help them avoid becoming homeless. The prize money has enabled us to support more survivors and enhance the service we offer.
As a Haringey council service, this award was especially poignant for Hearthstone as Andy was a much loved and respected director of housing and social services in the borough for many years. He was a pioneer in taking services direct to the people who needed them, so we were honoured to win an award that has been set up in his name. Denise Gandy, Hearthstone
