Hearthstone staff were thrilled to win the Andy Ludlow Award in recognition of the innovative approach taken to assist survivors of domestic abuse in the borough and help them avoid becoming homeless. The prize money has enabled us to support more survivors and enhance the service we offer. This award was especially poignant for Hearthstone as Andy was a much loved and respected director of housing and social services in the borough of Haringey for many years. Denise Gandy, Hearthstone
The Andy Ludlow Award money has enabled us to build on our current service. Amongst other things, it has included us extending our wi-fi provision thus helping ease feelings of social isolation and helping users to reconnect with friends and family via email and social media sites. The prize money has enabled us to extend our service to reach a group of vulnerable women who are living in extremely insecure accommodation and often isolated from more mainstream services.
